Should I take the PSAT?
Should I prep for the PSAT?
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Student Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a practice test offered by the College Board as a preparation tool for the SAT. The PSAT is also the first step for any student who is interested in qualifying for National Merit recognition. Strong, highly motivated students should prep for the PSAT since this extra focus on the test might boost their score to qualify for National Merit recognition.
PSAT dates for 2007-2008: scheduled this year on October 17th or October 20th. For additional information, check with your high school.
Every bit of familiarization, practice, and time spent preparing for the SAT, including the PSAT, will prove to be beneficial to every student.
