About Our SAT Prep Course
The SAT Prep course consists of a full-length practice SAT and 16.5 hours of classroom instruction. The SAT Prep course is uniquely developed and taught by Washington state certificated teachers. The course is designed to decrease test anxiety and familiarize students with test directions, types of questions, and test-taking strategies. This is our 18th year providing SAT Prep for students in western Washington. We work to increase students' confidence and help students develop skills and a positive attitude to become better test takers.
The SAT Prep course is offered at local high schools (view the 2007-2008 course schedule). The course begins with a practice SAT and continues with six class sessions, each two hours forty five minutes (2:45) long. The course consists of 3 math and 3 verbal sessions. We vary the offerings: some courses are once per week spread over 6 weeks; some are twice per week (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday) spread over 3 weeks. In the summer, the courses run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 2 weeks. View the 2007-2008 course schedule.
The course fee is $272, which includes the full-length, scored practice test, a textbook and a student workbook of course materials. A portion of this fee goes directly back to the school, usually through the PTSA or Booster clubs, to support student programs or scholarships. A $25 fee will be charged for cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the start of the course. There is a $50 fee for a cancellation within 6 days of the first class date.
